One month and one day…

At the end of October I shall be doing the following:

  • Taking the longest 60 minute plane ride of my life
  • Having a magical moment seeing someone very special for the first time in almost 10 weeks (69 days… no joke)
  • Sleeping like I haven’t slept in the same amount of time
  • Seeing some of my best friends and celebrating my very best friend growing old like the rest of us (although she will be “Forever young” =D)
  • Cooking some awesome macaroni cheese for someone who deserves to be cooked for
  • Visiting a corn maze… in the dark. For Halloween fun times
  • Saying goodbye again but trying to focus on the next time I get to say hello

4 WEEKS!!! =D

Funny Memories No.1

At my cousins birthday party me and Louise were messing about and she slapped me full across the face. I think she must have looked as shocked and surprised as I did! My cousins friend then turned round and mistook the situation thinking my cousins other friend, who was standing nearby had slapped me and started telling him off, about to hit him himself haha! We could barely stop laughing to tell him what actually happened. Still, very galant and all haha!

Football cupcakes via Glittery One. The footballs are made out of tootsie rolls!

Motherfucker, I don’t COOK!!!
– Gabe Saporta in response to his neighbor asking if he was making toast after smelling something burning. Quote of the week haha!
highlonesome:

You can’t tell, but this was me on “let’s dress all feminine and pretty for Mother’s Day!” at work.
I do actually have a dress on under my cardi (it’s still cold round these parts, ok?) and apron, which was my attempt at feminine ha. I’m about as feminine as Bruce Willis.
I did get to be all Childcatcher-like though and go round with box of chocolates for customers (you should all come to my work, free chocs, punch, my lovely face, it’s great fun)

It worries me that you see handing out chocolates as “childcatcher-like” lol

Tired…

Today has been crazy busy. Slept in this mornin so I decided to eat my breakfast on the way to work. So I was hurryin down the road and i got to the doctors surgery and was goin up the concrete steps but missed the top one and caught my foot on it. Next thing I’m smacking onto the ground, nutella toast flying out of my hand. Scraped all my hands (i have many) and bashed my leg on the step. All the while thinking, apart from OYAH BASTURT!!!!, where the hell is my toast?? Then literally about 10 seconds after I fell I hear it fall down on the ground behind me. Wtf?? How is that even possible??

Anyway so I made it to work all sore and muddy. Spent a few hours tidying etc then me and Ann went to Ikea for some stuff. Got stuck in traffic for ages and then got lost, eventually got to Ikea like 2 hours later. Managed to get all our stuff then had to go and pick up Stephen. SOMEHOW managed to find his college in the middle of nowhere lol then tried and almost failed at getting me to the cinema.

Got there in time luckily though. Went to see Alice In Wonderland. Was dead good.  So yeah, now I’m exhausted. Hope I don’t have to go in till later on tomorrow… Och well, guess I’d better get to beddddd.

Even dressing up as a “hippie” in the cold, baltic temperatures of -8C in December still didn’t convince people to try some warm, cosy punch and chocolates.
Scrooges. Hah

first thought: omg!! i love your dress!!!
second thought: OMG, emma in a dress!!!
haha! that punch is amaaazing though, people are stupid for not having any.

No more “detox just to retox”

I’m fed up of wanting to lose weight and never actually doing it. Or doing it but then forgetting about it and putting on more than what I was to start with. I like to start things at logical(??) times like mondays, because it’s the start of the week, or the start of a month, or the start of a year. And now, it’s lent which seems to me like a good place to start, giving up eating crap. Not that I’m religious in any way it just makes my brain feel better about starting something halfway through the month, two months into the year and on a day in the middle of the week.

It’s a thursday and that is messing me up a little bit but I’m trying to think of it like Friday is my weigh in day/treat day (being the end of the week) so working up to next Friday is a full 7 day week including today. So this week is gonna be strict. Gonna do a sort of detox, but a healthy, sensible one, this week then next week just keep eating healthier and eating less. And also hopefully being more active. Cos I’m really really not just now. My day pretty much consists of bed, shower, couch, bed. Not. Good.

So, if you see me stuffing a cream cake in my face or eyeing up a deep fried pizza (not that I actually eat like that lol i’m not quite that bad) you have my permission to do whatever you deem necessary to stop me.

Just thinking about how much my Home Ec teacher hated me…

It’s funny really because I really quite liked Home Ec. The only thing I didn’t like was the stress because there was such limited time, especially when we were cooking. I like to take my time with things which is actually why my teacher hated me. I was always the slowest in the class.

Seriously. I would be putting stuff in the oven when everyone else was washing up. As a result I don’t think I ever even got to take anything home. Not anything that was finished anyway. I wasn’t slacking either, it’s just the way I am.

But I was thinking about it because it’s all those things (cooking, baking, sewing etc) that I love now. And it’s a shame that in school I was rushed with it and ended up feeling useless and just …in the way. I actually think I got sent out of the class one day and into someone else’s class which for me, especially then, was just the worst thing that could happen to me.

I do remember one sunny afternoon at Osborne though when we did the closest thing to a Home Ec class we could (something to do with not being able to use the kitchen we used for lunch or whatever). It was a one off sewing “class” in the garden with Ms Janas and I think Mrs Samuels and it was just me and Sarah or just a few of us at least just chatting and sewing and it was perfect. That’s kind of not really on point to what I was talking about but I just remembered it and it was a nice memory so there it is. =)

backseatgoodbye:

Like I’ve mentioned, I’m completely unsigned - no record label, no PR person, etc… it’s just you and me. So, please feel free to reblog this & help out in a big way just by spreading the word about my new EP, one bit at a time.
Thanks,Chad
